Estimated Cost of the new building: RM1.2 million
The proposed new two-storey building will consist of:
- The Ground Floor - 4 Art Rooms
- The First Floor - A Multipurpose Hall
Why Assunta needs to upgrade the current Art Room and have a multipurpose hall?
In line with the upgrading of the facilities of the school, the Board of Governors, the Parent Teacher Association and the Assunta Alumni have decided to launch another urgent project due to the following reasons:
- To demolish the current Art Block which is already badly infested with termites.
- Maintenance of the rooms are not cost effective as continuous repairs have to be done.
- The Art Rooms are too small to accommodate the students and are not conducive.
- The facilities in the current Art Rooms are inadequate to accommodate the usage of ICT in the teaching and
learning process as required in the new visual art syllabus.
- The multipurpose hall is to meet the increased demand for the compulsory extra-curricular activities.

As a former mission school, the school is not fully Government funded, but is categorised as a "sekolah bantuan modal" or Government aided school. This means that for many needs including building projects, the school would have to find its own funds.
