Frequently Asked Questions
Why on a Sunday?
We apologize for any inconvenience
caused. It is truly unfortunate we were unable to get a venue for the dinner
and dance on a Saturday night in the months of September and October this
year. All the 5 star hotels we enquired (since March after our AGM) are
fully booked.
Nonetheless, we learn from this experience.
We plan to prebook a year or two in advance for future dinners. Perhaps
settle for the first Saturday of September or October yearly - 6-7 months
after our AGM
in March. After this year's dinner and dance, we will conduct a poll at
our newsgroup
to guage the "best" month to hold the event. Stay tuned.
Why
is the event at Sunway Lagoon Resort Hotel?
Last year, we had to turn away many
ex-Assuntarians at our inaugural dinner and dance limited by the size of
the ballroom. Besides excellent food, we hope to accommodate as many old
girls as possible. The Sunway ballroom may be bigger but don't count on
getting your seats last minute. To avoid disappointment, please book
your seats early.
Why
start at 6.00pm?
As the Dinner is held on Sunday,
we hope to accommodate those who have to work the next day and who may
wish to go home early (to catch their beauty sleep). By starting
an hour earlier, old girls will have ample time to catch up on the news
with fellow schoolmates they haven’t met in years. For those who feel the
night is still young - stay on - the dance begins at 10.30pm!
Why is the ticket
price higher this year?
Besides inflation, this year's dinner
and dance has more events, more entertainment and more
surprises for you all to experience.
